Granting or revoking the permission for a user to edit the unit price or the unit discount on the cart at the time of the order is done on the Cart Grid View of the Transaction Type.
You can also grant/revoke this permission in the Order Center itself, thereby allowing the user to edit the price before switching over into the shopping cart. Follow the same instructions as below, however for the Order Center Grid View (rather than the Cart Grid View shown below). Note that the only Order Center View you can edit price fields in is the Grid View (as opposed to any of the Small/Med/Details etc.)
To mark the item price field editable in the shopping cart:
Setup -> Settings -> Sales Activities -> Transaction Types
(For more information on Transaction Types: Sales Transaction Types)
The Cart Grid View allows you to configure which fields will appear on the Order table in the cart, the sorting criteria, and if the fields are read only or not.
You may customize the cart layout and the read only option differently by Profile (Profiles are part of the Pepperi Ultimate package). Read more here: Assign functionality and configurations by user profiles.
Edit the Cart Grid View (click on the pencil icon next to the name of form). You will need to do this for any Cart views you may be using: Grid, Lines, Matrix Grid, or Transaction Line Details. This ensures that the price field is editable in all views the user may switch to while in the cart.
Select from Available Fields and add to the Layout section to indicate the columns in the Cart Grid layout. After adding a field to the layout you may change the title by clicking on the edit pencil button to the right of the field name and change it to the column heading you require.
If "Unit price after discount" is marked as "Read only" the sales rep will not be able to modify the field on the cart. If it Read only is not marked, the field will be editable on the shopping cart.
If you choose to display the "Unit discount" field, you may change the field to "Read only" preventing the rep from changing or adding any item discount percentage.
Only the relevant fields will have the Read Only option available. Other fields, such as "Item Description" will not have this option.
By marking the Unit Price After Discount as "Read Only" this is in fact preventing the sales rep from editing the order price to a price other than what was calculated by Pepperi (after applying any discounts and campaigns)
Click Save.

Important to remember that when you enable the option to edit order price, you will also need to configure your cart view (Order Table) to contain the "Price" value.
