This article will show you how to add a remark or note on the line-item level, meaning for each item in the transaction.
You'll need to add a custom line-item field in the Cart tab for the Transaction type you need the remark for, and then position the remark on the order table on the SupeRep forms you need.
You can add a text remark, or a dropdown menu with predefined choices to select from.
To do this:
1. Go to Setup -> Settings -> Sales Activities
2. Click the edit (pencil) icon on the Transaction type you need the remark for.
3. In the Cart tab edit the form you need the remark to appear on.
It is most likely that you will want the remark to appear on all 3 forms because if the sales rep enters a remark you will want to see it on the Manager and you will want it on the PDF copy of the order as well.
SupeRep form - the remark will appear on the cart on the app where the user can enter a value for the remark.
Manager form - the remark will appear on transaction in the Activities list in the manager.
PDF form - the remark will appear on the order table in the PDF copy of the transaction that is emailed.
4. Once you selected a form to position the remark field on, if you already have a custom line item field with the remark type you need, then just drag it over and position it on the cart. Chances are you don't already have this field. To create it, just click on "Add custom field?"
Select the type of remark you need:
Either a text, Dropdown, or Multi-choice drop down
Text - is free text your sales rep can enter as a remark
Dropdown - sales rep can select a single choice from a drop down menu
Multi choice drop down - will present a menu of options you define for the sales rep to select from (multiple choices can be selected).
Once the custom field is created, it must be positioned as one of the columns on the order table.
Drag it from the "Custom Transaction Line Item Fields" to the Layout and click Save.
To see this remark on the app: Sync SupeRep on your tablet and a column with the remark field will appear in the cart.
To see this remark on the Manager or on the Order PDF, make sure to drag the field to the Layout of those 2 forms in the Cart tab of the Transaction.
