This version contains enhancements and features, but you'll probably notice the UI enhancements right off the bat. The app bar has been modified throughout the app, conforming to the latest Android standards, as well as allowing for maximal usage of the screen area for optimal display of content.
Functions such as filtering and searching are now opened via icons, rather than taking up a second line below the app bar. For example, in the Order Center, as seen below. Read on for more details.
You can now use the device camera to capture a barcode to search the catalog and add an item to an order. In addition to pairing a bluetooth scanner, the camera will now act as a scanner to find items in your catalog.
Multi-select or filter items in the cart and bulk edit their quantity, discount, or any other editable field.
Activity Lists are now selected via a bottom menu that is opened by tapping the Activity List name. Filtering and selection icons have also been updated, as in the Order Center and Cart.
The date range is also selected via this menu:
The App bar has been redesigned using Android's latest design standards. The icons also allow for more space for screen content display.
The search and filter bar has been eliminated, and you'll now see those options as icons on the app bar. For example, in the Accounts view and the Order Center:
You may now show/hide any fields you wish from the Item Information Page footer. Whereas previously the footer automatically contained a quantity selector, you may now remove it, and add other fields, or just leave it empty without any fields displayed.
This is especially helpful if you want to make a catalog for browsing only purposes by removing the quantity selector from all catalog views - including the Item Information view - to prevent item quantities from being entered to a shopping cart.
Go to Settings -> Transaction Types and edit the Transaction type that you wish to configure this footer for. Under Order Center Views edit the Item Information Page Footer view layout to include/exclude the fields you require.
