The FTP Image Uploader Quick Setup allows you to configure automatic recurring upload of images to your Pepperi account via FTP.

The quick setup lets you easily set various options such as:

• FTP credentials required for connecting to your image location folder
• The field used to map image to item (ie Item code, or any other custom field)
• Schedule upload time
• Run image upload manually on demand
• Set options to re-upload previously uploaded images or not

Install FTP Image Uploader

Go to Settings -> iPaaS -> Quick Setup

Click Install

 

When Install is complete, click Launch and configure the sections:

You can create multiple configurations by clicking "Add new". Each configuration can differ based on the field used to map items to images, scheduling, ftp servers used or any other setting depending on your needs.

Configure Upload Settings

Enter the necessary information to connect to the FTP server hosting the Item images.

Connection Protocol - select FTP or SFTP

FTP Address - enter the name of your FTP server

Port - 21 (standard)

Images Folder - enter the path to the images folder

Username/Pasword - to access FTP

Timeout (seconds) - how many seconds to wait before reporting a failed connection attempt

Click "Test Connection" to verify that the connection is working.

Click "Save" once the connection has been verified.

 

Configure Advanced Upload Settings

Items Image Name Field - the field used to map the image file name to the Item. Use any field such as Item Code, Item Image Code, or any other Item custom field to match Items to Item image files

For example:

Use Item Code field to match Item 4011K to Item image file 4011K.jpg

Image Number Separator - for items with multiple images you can upload up to 6 images with a separator and a number. Indicate the character used as a separator when numbering images

(ie "_", "-", etc.).

Image Number Compatibility

For compatibility with how you have your Item image files numbered in your FTP folder, select:

Disabled - if your main (1st) image file name format can be either <itemCode>.jpg or <itemCode>_1.jpg . Both of those file name formats will be mapped to the main (1st) image of the Item. 

Enabled - if your main (first) image file name is always in the format of <itemCode>.jpg. 

For example:

Item code abc has 6 images to be uploaded, and the Image number separator is "_" (underscore).

If Image Number Compatibility is disabled:

The main (1st) item image file name could be named abc.jpg or abc_1.jpg

If it's named abc.jpg, then the 6 image files should be named:

abc.jpg (loaded as main 1st Item image)

If you load a file named abc_1.jpg it will ALSO be loaded as the main 1st Item image, overwriting the abc.jpg

abc_2.jpg (loaded as 2nd Item image)

abc_3.jpg (loaded as 3rd Item image)

abc_4.jpg (loaded as 4th Item image)

abc_5.jpg (loaded as 5th Item image)

abc_6.jpg (loaded as 6th Item image)

If it's named abc_1.jpg, then the 6 image files should be named:

abc_1.jpg (loaded as main 1st Item image)

abc_2.jpg (loaded as 2nd Item image)

abc_3.jpg (loaded as 3rd Item image)

abc_4.jpg (loaded as 4th Item image)

abc_5.jpg (loaded as 5th Item image)

abc_6.jpg (loaded as 6th Item image)

If Image Number Compatibility is enabled:

The main (1st) item image file name should be named abc.jpg

The 6 image files should be named

abc.jpg   (loaded as main 1st Item image)

abc_1.jpg (loaded as 2nd Item image)

abc_2.jpg (loaded as 3rd Item image)

abc_3.jpg (loaded as 4th Item image)

abc_4.jpg (loaded as 5th Item image)

abc_5.jpg (loaded as 6th Item image)

 

Delete Images After Upload - enabled will delete the images from the FTP folder after upload, disabled will leave the images on your FTP server after upload. Upon the next scheduled upload, images that have already been uploaded (checked by timestamp) will not be re-uploaded, unless you indicate otherwise in the next section.

 

Upload & Reupload

Upload Now - Allows you to run a manual upload of images, unrelated to the scheduled time for this job.

Reload Previously Uploaded Images - treats all images as new images that should be uploaded.

 

Schedule Upload

Allows scheduling of the hour, days of the week and frequency of the image uploading job.

Examples:

The following settings will result in uploading images once a day at 10:00 UTC Mon - Fri:

Once every 12 hours, Days of the week Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri

Start Hour 10:00 UTC, End Hour 11:00 UTC

The following settings will result in uploading images twice a day at 8:00 UTC, and at 20:00 UTC on Mon - Fri:

Once every 12 hours, Days of the week Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri

Start Hour 8:00 UTC, End Hour 21:00 UTC

 

Use Scheduler: enable/disable the scheduler. Allows you to disable this job from running.
