FEATURE REQUEST: Add Landscape Orientation to Smartphones (Samsung Note series)
CompletedPepperi can be viewed in Portrait or Lanscape mode on tablets. I would like to have the ability to rotate the screen on my Samsung Note 9, natively.
I can use a 3rd party app to force Pepperi to rotate into landscape mode, and it looks exactly like Pepperi looks in landscape mode on my Samsung tablet. It is actually better in landscape on this smartphone because how much more I can see on the screen. Keeping it locked in Portrait mode restricts what can be viewed, and columns get compressed. I prefer using my Note 9 phone, rather than a tablet.
However, using this 3rd party app is a dirty solution. It then means other apps I don't want to rotate, or should not be rotated, will be rotated as well. It would be great if landscape mode was supported on smartphones with large, hi-res screens, like the Note series. Thanks.

Hello Jere,
I was able to get a detailed response from our developer. Unfortunately we don't plan to support this at this time.
The logic to support the landscape on devices is according to the Android value of screen size. Android has a function that defines whether the device has small, medium or large size. We support landscape for large size device only.
As per documentation, the note9 has ~516ppi so it falls in the medium screen size devices and hence we do not support landscape for it. We do not plan to change the current logic.
Thanks,
Merav

Adding my vote to landscape mode for iPhone.
It's worth checking out how the built-in Messages or Mail apps deal with portrait versus landscape. In Messages for example, in portrait mode you see a list of messages:
But then in landscape you have another panel taking advantages of the increased horizontal screen real estate:
With this in mind, Pepperi could detect the screen orientation and then display a certain view for portrait and another for landscape (somewhat like what the app is doing with the home screen background image already.)
I would love to be able to add more columns to the grid view in landscape mode and restrict the amount of columns for portrait.

Hi Matthew
Thanks for your vote. I'm checking on this.
By the way - just thought I'd mention - are you aware of this existing capability where you can configure landscape view differently than portrait on any tablet device for any of the views or forms: https://pepperi.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001773968
Thanks

That's a shame! Please consider it for future as it's a nice way to take advantage of increased horizontal screen real estate. I am finding I use Pepperi more often than not with a phone-sized device instead of tablet so a quick flick of the orientation would allow me to see more detail and answer customer's questions quickly.

Any chance this is on the radar soon? Phone/phablet devices are only getting bigger and basically approaching iPad mini size!
