We wanted to give you a heads up about a small change made to using the on screen keyboard when scanning barcodes in the upcoming version of Pepperi iOS app V16.3 that will be released shortly. (If you don't scan items into Pepperi orders using a barcode scanner this change will not affect you).
If you aren't connected to a Bluetooth device (scanner/keyboard), then the on screen keyboard automatically comes up when you tap inside the search box. No change there.
If you are connected to a Bluetooth device, then the on screen keyboard will not pop up. In case of scanning in a barcode, but then needing to edit the scanned code or the unit quantity, you can bring up the on screen keyboard by tapping on the native iOS control in the bottom right corner.
The change being that the keyboard icon on the top left that was part of the Pepperi app in previous versions was removed in favor of the native iOS keyboard access button now on the bottom right (shown below). Read more about barcode scanning in the Pepperi app.
