This article explains:
- How to upload file attachments such as PDF or video to associate with an item (these files are displayed on the Item Information Page view)
- How to load an instructional link per item
Attaching files to items
You can attach files such as PDFs, excel, word doc, videos etc that contain detailed information about the item, marketing data, instructions or any other information you wish to present along with the item in the catalog.
* File size should be less than 5MB and the file name should be less than 50 characters.
*Supported file types: pdf,doc,docx,xls,xlsx,csv,mov,mp4
Go to Settings -> Data -> Manage Items
Click "Upload image" for the Item you wish to load attachments for.
Browse and upload up to 3 files. Click on the green arrow to go back and load more.
Files loaded will be synced to mobile devices and be available when the device is offline.
Delete an Uploaded File Attachment
To delete Instruction files you have uploaded you will need to import an Items file with the attachment fields empty (blank/no values).
Include only the items you want to delete the files for.
Be careful not to include items that you DO NOT want to delete files for in this upload.
Add these 3 columns to the Items file.
Example Item file with empty file columns:
ExternalID | Main Category | Name | Price | TSAttachmentFile0 | TSAttachmentFile1 | TSAttachmentFile2 |
189-054 | Wow Make Up | Blush | 19
189-096 | Wow Make Up | Toner | 4.50
189-775 | Skin Care | Cream | 27 |
Do not put any values in these columns. Leave them blank.
Following the logic that TSAttachemntFile0 is the first file, ..File1 is the second file and ..File2 is the third file you uploaded, you can choose which file(s) you want to delete.
Again, do not put any values in these columns. When the import is completed, the files will be deleted automatically for all the items listed in this Excel.

Is there a way to delete an uploaded file?
Hello Kirsty
Deleting is on our roadmap. Curently you can only replace a file with a different file.
Thanks
Merav
Hi Kirsty,
Good news!
Correction to the above: you CAN delete an uploaded file.
What you need to do is import an Excel file with only the items you want to delete the files for. Add 3 columns to the Excel - TSAttachmentFile0, TSAttachementFile1, TSAttachmentFile2
Do not put any values in these columns. Leave them blank.
Map those columns to the same fields in the mapping - TSAttachmentFile0,1 and 2. . .(you will see them in the list of fields).
Again, do not put any values in these columns. When the import is completed, the files will be deleted automatically for all the items in this excel.
Be careful not to include items that you DO NOT want to delete files for in this upload.
Following the logic that TSAttachemntFile0 is the first file, ..File1 is the second file and ..File2 is the third file you uploaded, you can choose which file(s) you want to delete.
Let me know how this works for you,
Thanks
Merav
Hi Merav,
a "remove"-button like shown for the images would be really more comfortable, especially if the person who manages the catalog (pictures and so on) and the person who is in charge for interfaces and uploads are different ones.
Regards
Marco
