Configuration files are used in the Transaction Types and Activities Workflow.
They are file templates that you can define to be used as either:
- Exported from PEPPERI as part of an automatic integration with your ERP system for use by the ERP.
- Sent as email attachments to the recipients defined in the Workflow of a Transaction Type or Activity.
The files will be exported or emailed based on the status changes and the definitions you entered in the Workflow section of the Transaction Type and Activities you create.
Some of the default templates provided are described below.
You can download samples of the templates by clicking the edit (pencil) icon next to the file type and clicking the "Download" link. To customize the files a programmer can modify the templates and upload the changes.
Make sure you are customizing the correct Object type - Transaction or Activity. Activities have their own separate Email subject and PDF files.
XML - export to default XML formatted file
PDF - export to XML, converted to HTML and then to PDF
XML Spreadsheet to Excel - export to XML, converted to XML spreadsheet and then to Excel
Email Subject - an XSLT configuration file containing email subject content. For example:
Subject: New Order for Account MyStore / orderID 55678 / Status Submitted
This email subject configuration file can be used for the emails sent in the Transaction workflow when an order is submitted. You can also edit the message body of the email by creating a configuration file for it. For detailed instructions on both subject and body configuration files see: How to Set Email Notification for Transactions (Sales Orders).
To modify the subject, edit this file.
Make sure you are editing the "Order" object "Email Subject" file (NOT the General Activity object).
You may also create your own Configuration file types to be used in any of the workflow actions. To do this, you'll need to upload a template file and enter a name and description for each configuration file type.
The configuration files you enter here will be available for you to select in the Email attachment, Email Subject, Email Message and Export in the Workflow section of the Transaction Types.
