Pepperi enables you to add an option to duplicate a Sales Order or any Transaction Type for the same account or for another account you select.
Some use cases are:
- Sales Rep wishes to duplicate a customer's previous order to use as a template for a current order (they can make changes before submitting)
- Sales Rep wishes to duplicate one customer's order for another account that requires the same or very similar order.
- Give your buyers on B2B eCommerce self-service ordering a "Re-order" option
To configure this option in the Pepperi Back Office you need to add a Program including the relevant Duplicate action, and then add this program to the Cart Menu options.
Go to Settings -> Sales Activities -> Transaction Types
Edit the Transaction Type you want to enable duplication for, for example "Sales Order"
Select the Programs tab
Press the "+Program" button
Add the name and a short description and Save.
The name does not allow spaces, however you will be able to label the menu option using spaces when you add it to the layout (see below), this is just the name of the action and not the way the user will have to see it.
Click +Add to add an action.
Duplicate - Duplicated the current activity for the current Account
Duplicate for another Account - Duplicates the current activity for another Account selected from a list
Select type for new Transaction - select the Transaction Type you want to create when the current Transaction is duplicated. For this example it is the same Transaction Type - Sales Order.
Another example might be - if you wanted to duplicate a Quote to a Sales Order, then you would add the duplicate program on the Quote and select the Sales Order Transaction.
If you chose the "Duplicate for another Account" action, then you will need to indicate which Account List to use when opening the list of Accounts to select from. If you don't indicate a specific list, all the user's assigned Accounts will be listed, and the user will choose which one to duplicate the order for.
Open the new Transaction - check this box to immediately open the new Transaction on the screen. Otherwise the Transaction will be duplicated in the background, and you will not see anything change on the screen. To get to the duplicated Transaction you will have to go to the Activity List to open it.
Select the fields you want to be duplicated to the newly created Transaction -
Usually it is the order remark in the Transaction Fields, and the Unit Quantity in the Transaction Line Item Fields.
Add any other field you want to duplicate, such as custom fields or pricing fields.
After creating the Program(s) add them to the Menu options on the shopping cart:
Go to the Views Tab -> Menu
Edit the Cart Menu
Select the Profile you wish to edit
The programs you created will be in the "Programs" section. Add the program(s) required to the layout. Name the menu options as you wish. Save.
