Create Data Queries using the graphical query editor for use by Insights dashboard charts and graphs.
Assign Queries to the "Content" section of the blocks in the Page Builder.
Go to Insights -> Data Queries
Click Add
Enter a Name for the query
Select a resource:
- All activities - header field such as Grand total, or Total quantity
- Transaction lines - a transaction line field such as Unit Price After Discount, Unit Quantity
- A resource defined in the Target Manager - this resource is used to display targets that were imported to the Target Manager. See Target Resources for Insights Dashboards for details.
Add a series
Aggregator
Sum - will add all the values of the field
Average - calculates the average of the values of the field
Count - returns the total number of values counted in the group
Count Distinct - returns the number of distinct values in a group
Script - write your own calculation using different aggregators and fields.
Categories
Group by field
Choose a field to group the values by used for the x-axis of the chart. For example: for sales by Month choose ActionDateTime
Grouping by categories results in all bars/columns/lines of the same color.
Interval - choose Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year
Format - Year, YearMonth, Month, MonthDay, YearMonthDay, Week, WeekYear, Quarter, QuarterYear
Dynamic Series
Break by field
Generate a separate graph per each field value. Usually used for a specific small amount of values.
Grouping by Dynamic series results in a different color for each bar/column/line in the chart.
Limit the number of results - enter the number of values presented
Order - Descending / Ascending
Filter
Account Filter options
All Accounts
Assigned Accounts
Accounts of users under my role (if using Role Hierarchy feature)
User Filter options
All Users
Current User
Users under my role (if using Role Hierarchy feature)
Add Filters
Filter by Transaction Type - ex. show data from only a specific Transaction such as "Sales Order" or "B2B order"
Filter by Status Name - ex. show data from only submitted transactions
