If you sell different types of products that come in multiple size types, you can create a size scale for each size type. This will ensure that the matrix view of these items in the catalog will contain the sizes relevant to the item only.
Example
Shoes, clothing in S/M/L, clothing in numerical sizes, and men's shirts all come in different size scales. You don't want Shoe sizes displaying in the matrix view for shirts or clothing, and vice cersa.
Clothing S/M/L - xs, s, m, l, xl, xxl, etc.
Clothing numerical - 42, 44, 46, 48, etc.
Men's shirts - 76, 81, 86, 91, etc.
Shoes - 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, etc.
Define a size scale for each size type in your items file (or import from your ERP).
To define a size scale, simply add a column to the file with a heading, and indicate the name of the size scale for each item.
Item Code | Item name | Item Size | Item Color | Size scale | . . . | . . . |
abc | T-shirt | xs | black |
Clothing SML |
||
geh | Sandals | 44 | brown |
Shoes |
||
xx32 | Dress shirt | 76 | white |
Men's shirts |
||
rt45 | Womens tunic | 46 | green |
Clothing numerical |

When mapping the file to Pepperi fields, map the size scale column to the Pepperi 'Dimension 2 Group'.
If you do not indicate a size scale for a matrix item, it will be associated with the Default Size scale. All default scale sizes will be shown for this item.
Pepperi will create the size scales and associate the items with their scale for display in the matrix view.
The size scales created are displayed under Settings -> Items -> Variant Dimensions.
